About
Trinity Youth is a place where youth can grow in their faith and have fun together. Our time is centered on Bible-based discussions led by adult leaders, where we open God’s Word and learn how it speaks to matters of our faith and life. We want our youth to see that following Jesus isn’t just about head knowledge—it’s about walking together in faith and encouraging one another in the Christian life. Each week also includes time for some light-hearted fun and games.
Our hope is that everyone who comes to Trinity Youth will discover the joy of following Jesus with others, be reminded of God’s grace, and be strengthened to live faithfully in Him.
When
Sunday from 6:00–7:00 PM (except the first Sunday of each month).
Philosophy of Ministry
Youth Ministry That Takes the Long View
At Trinity, our youth ministry is shaped by a simple conviction: we are not aiming merely for short-term engagement, but for lifelong discipleship. We want to see our children and youth grow into men and women who love Christ, remain in His church, and walk faithfully with Him for decades to come.
1. Cultivating a Culture Where Faith Can Flourish
We seek to cultivate a church culture where faith can take root and grow. This includes meaningful peer friendships, genuine relationships with older believers, joyful worship, opportunities to serve, and steady exposure to God’s Word.
Our desire is that every young person at Trinity would be known personally, loved sincerely, and encouraged patiently as they grow in Christ.
2. Relying on God’s Covenant
We believe our children are members of the covenant community. We do not treat them as outsiders waiting to become Christians someday. Instead, we nurture them as those who belong to the Lord and to His church, trusting His covenant promises and relying on His grace to bring those promises to fruition in their lives.
Our confidence ultimately rests not in our programming, but in God’s faithfulness.
3. Prioritizing Parental Discipleship
Scripture and experience both teach us that the greatest earthly influence on a child’s lasting faith is their parents. For that reason, Trinity Youth does not seek to replace or compete with parents, but to support and encourage them.
We encourage a parenting approach marked by both clarity and warmth—clear expectations and loving affection held together. Children are far more likely to embrace the faith when they see it woven into everyday home life, reinforced through patient, loving guidance rather than reduced to mere rule-keeping.
We also encourage parents to make full use of the broader ministries of the church that equip them for discipleship and help integrate their children into the wider church family.
4. Worship as Formation
We believe lifelong discipleship requires incorporation—not separation—into the worship of the church. Children and youth are not spectators or future members; they are part of the worshiping assembly now.
In gathered worship, God meets His people through Word and sacrament. Over time, this ordinary, weekly rhythm shapes hearts, strengthens faith, and forms disciples of the Lord Jesus. For that reason, we aim to teach our youth not only about worship, but to help them grow in love for the Lord’s Day and for the gathered church.
5. Intergenerational and Integrated Ministry
We are convinced that faith is best nurtured within the full life of the church, not in isolation from it. While Trinity Youth provides space for peer relationships, we intentionally encourage strong intergenerational connections.
We long for our older, mature members to know our young people by name, to pray for them, to speak into their lives, and to model steady Christian faithfulness. Our aim is a church culture in which youth see themselves as full members of the body—known, loved, needed, and able to serve.
6. Relationships Over Programs
Programs such as Sunday School and Youth Group are helpful tools. But programs alone cannot produce lasting disciples. Spiritual maturity is most often shaped through consistent, meaningful relationships with faithful adults.
For that reason, we encourage our youth and young adults to participate fully in corporate worship, small groups, service opportunities, and mentoring relationships within the church. We want them to experience the Christian life not as a phase to grow out of, but as a lifelong calling lived within the family of God.
Completely reliant on God’s covenant faithfulness and His grace, this is how Trinity seeks to form the faithful and encourage a lifetime of discipleship within the household of God.
